Catholics shot in Granada Hills

Please pray for three Catholics who were shot at St. John Baptist de la Salle, in Granada Hills, Southern California. All three are wounded, one critically.

And pray for the soul of the man who opened fire on this Catholic festival.

Thank-you, Lord, for the courage of the off-duty police officer who tackled the man and pinned him down until the police could arrive.

Please, Lord, heal the injured and grant that they be filled with your forgiveness for the man that did this to them. Heal their minds and bodies, and bless their lives and their families. Grant peace and healing to both the victims and the victims’ families, and may they and their community be filled with your Spirit of mercy.

And please, Lord, bring your grace, love and transforming might into the soul of the man who shot them.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen. Praise be to you, Lord Christ. Please transform this tragedy into an incident that will bring out your glory.

Lord please hear this prayer, and the loving greiving prayers of all the families involved. God have mercy on the souls of the dead, and have mercy on the soul of the shooter and lead him to God.

I’ve been praying for this all day. I will continue to pray for all of them.
 
I heard about this on the news yesterday and was brought to tears. May God surround those families and victims with his merciful love and bring them comfort. It’s hard to pray for the one responsible but I offer a prayer for him as well. I go to many festivals and go with no fear of being attacked…I’m so saddened by this outbreak of violence. It’s a terible situation and I’ll say a special prayer at mass today for those afflicted.
