Hello my friends,

I would like to ask, what is happening to our church? I’m not talking about the Roman Catholic Church, or other Churches i’m talking about all churches.
The Church Peter founded.

Is there a wrong church ?
No!

But there alot of wrong things being taught. One of the quotes i give you is this.

" you were once doing it right, turn back and start over"

If we did this, and stopped looking for differences between the churches we would understand it’s not about “the church” it’s about the teachings of Christ and how we live our lives according to God.

Why do so many people whom claim to love God and follow Christ sin so much and know the are doing it.

Paul once said " Has Christ been devided up? Was i nailed to a cross for you NO!. Some of you claim to follow Appolos, others claim to follow me and the rest claim to follow Christ."

Don’t you people see what is happening?

People are doing just this, “Has Christ been devided up ? Others claim to follow the roman catholic church, others claim to follow the church of christ, others claim to follow prodestants”

yet all claim to follow Chirst. How can this be?

Should we deny homosexuals communion? Should we deny immoral sinners communion? Should we ex-communicate priests whom praise God in other ways against the church?

Does it matter how we praise Christ? No it does not!

I would say pray for people who are sinners and why deny them communion? Would Christ deny them communion? No he would not!
All what matters now, is preaching the word of God and teachings of Chirst.

So… what is the Church?

I myself am a Roman Catholic. To me, “The church” should be a place that teaches the word of God and teachings of Christ. It doesnt matter what prayers you use. A prayer is a prayer to God, not to the church.

If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and try hard not to sin, repent and mean it. Treat others as you treat yourself. Forgive others. Try and make someones life happy even if it makes yours hard. Pray for others whom have sinned and learn to love others. We are all brothers in Christ.

I believe the people of this world have gained too much wisdom in the church and think they can understand God and the holy spirit. Foolish people in the eyes of God.

If you read the teachings in the bible, it tells of things what are wrong, then take a look around the church and how you are living your life.

Wake up, as i once did. Now i am trying to get this message across to you all.

St. Peter didn’t found the Church.

Jesus did.

Unless you mean, perhaps, the local church of Antioch.

There were already Christians in Rome when St. Peter arrived there.

The church is obviously founded by Christ Jesus, but Peter was the one chosen by Christ to carry on in his name. Yes the Christians were in Rome already because of Paul. Paul said to Peter before his execution to carry on in Rome. Peter then was told to go back into Rome, do not flee and shout the message of Christ and establish the church, which he did. Sorry i don’t see your point my friend.

I have no doubt that you are sincere; however, you have an wrong understanding of Jesus Christ and the Church he founded. I mean no disrespect at all, but I would suggest you read the Baltimore Catechism, or the old Catechism of Pius X. These are in question and answer format and provide a clear teaching on many things. I would start there in order to have a better grasp on what the Church teaches, and also why she teaches it. I think the “why” she teaches it will help you the most at this point. It is normal to seek understanding, and I think they will provide you with that.

The first basic point is that there is only one true Church. Jesus founded that one Church that we now call the Roman Catholic Church. All of the other “churches” are sects that broke away from the true Church at one point. The Bible refers to these as “sects of perdition” because they have corrupted the true teachings of our Lord.

Why do so many people whom claim to love God and follow Christ sin so much and know the are doing it.

Due to weakness in their love for God. God gave us a free will. Very simply put, a person choses that which he loves the most. One who loves sin more than God choses sin. As such, the degree of sin in a person’s life is a reflection of their love for sin, and their lack of love for God.

Growing in the love of God is a continual process. A person may really desire to serve God, but in the beginning lack sufficient love to be what he wants to do. Over time, with the use of the sacraments and prayer, his love will be purified and he will cease sin, at least willful sin. Since we are fallen creatures, we are never completely free from the possibility of sin in this life, but over time sin becomes less and less. It is very possible to live completely free from mortal sin, and even from intentional venial sin, but that takes a great amount of love for God, which requires effort on our part to aquire…

The division was caused by the sects that split from the Church Christ founded. For unity to be achieved, all that is required is for them to repent and return to the Church that they, or their forefathers, unfortunately left. St. Paul told us that “heresies must needs be”. In other words, although it is contrary to God’s antecedent will, it is simply a fact that heretical sects will exist. This, St. Paul says, will manifest the faithfulness of those who keep to the true faith. Just as white looks more white when contrasted with black, so to the true faithful show forth their faithfulness, in the midst of heretics.

Should we deny homosexuals communion? Should we deny immoral sinners communion?

Anyone who has committed a mortal sin is to be refused communion, since they have fallen from grace; yet anyone who repents and confesses their sin is allowed to receive communion.

But clearly, an openly and unrepentant homosexual cannot receive communion, any more than an openly and unrepentant child molest can receive communion. Repentance is necessary.

Should we ex-communicate priests whom praise God in other ways against the church?

If he has committed a liturgical violation so serious that he incurrs excommunication, he deserved what he got. In the old Testament, when the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies, he had bells sown into his robe and a rope around his leg. Do you know why? Because no one but the High Priest was allowed in the Holy of Holies. Now, if he committed a liturgical violation, God would strike him dead, the bells would jingle, and those present would drag his dead body out by the rope. This shows how serious God considers liturgical violations.

If you knew what the Mass was, you would not make that comment. I would suggest finding a good Traditional Mass Church near you and asking the Priest to explain what the Mass is. When you understand what the Mass is - what it truly is - you will be swept off your feet.

In order to receive communion, we have to be in the state of grace. The state of grace is a true participation in the Divine nature of God. At baptism, the supernatural life of God is infused into the soul, thereby making the child a “partaker of the divine nature” as the Bible says. This grace raises the soul up to the supernatural level, uniting it to God, and making the person “temple of the Holy Ghost”, as St. Paul says.

Communion, which is the body, blood, soul, and Divinity of Jesus, strengthens this divine life of grace in the soul. Jesus, who is the source of the grace in the soul, is taken into the soul in communion, thereby strengthen the supernatural life within. But when a person commits a mortal sin, this grace leaves the soul. It is called a “mortal” (deadly) sin because it kills the life of grace in the soul. Through repentance and confession the soul is again restored to life.

With that in mind, it should explain why an unrepentant sinner cannot receive communion. If they have not confessed their sin, they are spiritually dead, and their communion, rather than helping them, will increase their guilt.

When Jesus established the Church, He delivered the “deposit of faith” to the apostles, who then passed it on to their successors. The “deposit of faith” is the body of teachings that Jesus passed on to us. This deposit of faith is also known as Revelation - it consists of the truths God has revealed to us, and expects us to accept on faith. If we understand what is contained within the “deposit of faith” we can know many things about Jesus and the Holy Ghost. When a person knows, believes, and understands these teachings, they are not being foolish or prideful. In fact, it is often pride that prevents people from believing what the Church teaches (the deposit of faith). The truths passed on to the Church from Jesus are very beautiful. It is not an act of pride to adhere to them, and God does not consider those who do to be foolish.

To learn about the teaching contained in the deposit of faith, do a quick search for the Catechism of Pius X (also known as the Penny Catechism). There you will find these teaching clearly presented. But be sure to approach these truths with the humble submission you owe to God - that is what He expects from us. Understanding follows faith. If we are humble enough to believe what God has revealed, we will then be given the grace to understand. Faith must come first, so approach the Catechism with that attitude and you will be greatly enlightened.
