CDC Reverses Controversial Guidance On Covid-19 Testing

Close contacts without symptoms need to be tested, agency says

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reversed its controversial Covid-19 testing guidance on Friday, stating clearly that close contacts without any symptoms need a test.

“Due to the significance of asymptomatic and presymptomatic transmission, this guidance reinforces the need to test asymptomatic persons, including close contacts of a person with documented Sars-Cov-2 infection,” the update, posted on its website, reads.

When you see “Growing Research” and “indicates”, keep in mind this is coming from a right-wing organization just founded this year by conspiratorial John Solomon. Not the best place to go for reliable medical news.

On the other hand, the Wall Street Journal has been around for 131 years. Get a subscription and skip the graffiti on the restroom walls like justthenews.

“In your leftist opinion”, you should add…

John Solomon was an integral part of uncovering the Russian conspiracy hoax which we now know was a total crock from the beginning. (maybe you’re not aware yet?)

This particular article is loaded with information backed by source links.

Read it again if you haven’t already.

In the opinion of the Washington Post, the Columbia Journalism Review, and ProPublica.
John Solomon was an integral part of uncovering the Russian conspiracy hoax…
which itself is another conspiracy theory, if you read the Senate Intelligence Committee report on Russian interference.

But getting back to the medical news you reported, no one can take it seriously in the light of the fact that we just passed 200,000 dead from this “non-infectious” disease.

Which is still <0.1% of the US population. It seems perfectly reasonable to scrutinize the rates of transmission.
Look what a big deal we made out of 0.001% of the population when they died on 9/11. For 19 years we have been taking our shoes off at airports.

Australia is talking about antibody testing to see just who has had this virus. If that goes ahead, the results will be interesting.
