Tomorrow, July 4th,
is the anniversary of the death of the saintly
young Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, and model of
sanctity and generosity.

Thank you Jay! I’ve just become aware of Blessed Pier Giorgio… and I’ve got him praying for a certain member of my family. (EWTN’s “Life on the Rock” just did a program, about Blessed Pier Giorgio). Thanks for the reminder of his feast day! God bless. 🙂

I know Blessed Pier Giorgio’s body was recently in a church near me - it was brought over for World Youth Day of which he is a patron.

I didn’t have time to go venerate it. I wonder if it’s still there :hmmm:
 
Blessed Pier Giorgio’s remains are still in Sydney.
They’ll be there throughout the World Youth Day pre-festivities and WYD itself.

Unfortunately, the coffin is closed.
I say unfortunately because, even though
he died way back in 1925, he is totally INcorrupt,
which in itself is quite a marvel. I understand
that he was not embalmed.
