There was a Baptism during Mass this morning. It the first one we’ve had in Lent in a long time and I had never heard so many Alleluias during Lent before.
Immediately after the Baptism the choir normally sings the Celtic Alleluia. They did it this morning. Then they sang the usual “You have put on Christ, in him you have been baptized, alleluia, alleluia” as the parents returned to their pew with the child.
Just wondering if we’re supposed to skip those sections during Lent. I do the baptismal preparation and hadn’t even thought to discuss this with Father and the choir.
