Here is a wonderfully made series on the human family and all of us fit in. I hope you enjoy it and I think many here could learn from and grow in understanding of their uniqueness in God’s Kingdom as part of the whole human family of mankind. May we all re-discover our dignity as human persons as St. Paul VI saw we needed to do. I think this video series is very timely in this regard. Follow the link to see them. It really is worth your time.

I hope some comment on this. The third video shows Pope Francis actually blessing the baby in a very pregnant women’s womb in front of the whole world! Oh my Heavens! Ladies, can you imagine that? Yikes. Wonder what that little baby is going to grow up to be?

P.S. The window that pops up when you open the link says “explore” in Italian, but it will be in English after you click on it. Please Esplorare!

P.S. In one of these video’s I found Pope Francis exhorting those gathered to make peace in the home each day by forgiving each other. It is my hope that every person who intends to live out the Sacrament of Matrimony faithfully and fruitfully unto eternal life for the whole of the family will understand the depth and essential meaning to the words: “I forgive you” for it is my heartfelt belief that it is just as essential to married love as hearing the words “I love you,” each and every day and even more than once a day if necessary or as Christ admonishes Peter, as many times as seventy times seven if necessary. It is also my observation that in our current society we do have a large disconnect from the concept of forgiveness and some go to extraordinary extremes in seeking this feeling of forgiveness all over the place! But the truth is, it comes from the language of the heart between persons and if it is never heard in speaking, that is, if a person never grows up hearing those words,“I forgive you,” he or she will have a great handicap in that they will never feel forgiven. I think those three little words spoken from the lips of the offended to the offendee are priceless and beyond measure in value. It is no coincidence that those words found on Christ’s own lips in the confessional in the words of absolution give peace. This peace needs to be lived to grow and bear fruit. Read Matthew 18: 21 to 35 to find out how important these three little words are and the power they have in determining not only your life while living but also you life after death. But just as it is never too late to start telling someone you love that you love them, it is also never too late to start telling someone you love, you forgive them. Do it whether or not you feel it because in doing so, you will also nurture the feelings of love and forgiveness within your own heart. Both hearer and giver grow this way. It really works.

Please say not only “I love you” to your family often but also “I forgive you” for both phrases are spoken from the heart and it is the heart that those words feed.

Okay, I’m off my little soapbox. Please excuse me for going there, but I couldn’t help myself. I’m sure you’ll forgive me. At least that is my hope.
