In Catholic life, particularly at home, what celebrations are observed in addition to Christmas and Holy Week/Easter ?
Christmas and Easter are fun and I understand something of the calendar but not much the rest of the year.
I remember my protestant great grandma celebrating St. Patricks day etc.
I really want to know about days/seasons that are decorated and how that is traditionally done around the house. Traditional foods, events, including church as well especially events that move around and are not tied to only Sundays.
Hope that makes some degree of sense.
I guess I’ve read of the festivals/feasts/days of obligation etc. but from an applied home life of enjoying holydays with sights/sounds/smells/tastes etc. I don’t really understand.
