Can a faithful Catholic in good conscience watch this show?

Not in my opinion. I think the whole thing is disgusting and find it insulting. Why do people want to air their dysfunctional life styles for all the world to view in the first place? They need to get professional help and stop making fools of themselves.

As for the sins involved in watching this: I think it promotes voyeurism, a way to detract from others and promotes a poor attitude regarding the sacred nature of marriage. Not a good show to watch.

My understanding (and please correct me if I’m wrong) is that the wives are swapped only in the sense of living with another family, doing the work of the other wife, and getting a sense of another person’s lifestyle. I believe the show doesn’t involve any sexual activity between the swapped wives and the husbands. In that case, the show seems licit for a Catholic to watch, there being nothing inherently sinful about a woman choosing to live in another house for however long the swap goes on for.

I see no problem with it. The goal of the show is to have positive changes made in both families. Sometimes outsiders can see things differently and offer suggestions that are effective in solving a particular problem.

(I mean, I’m sure it’s theoretically possible that some of them have slept with the others, but that is neither the intention nor a reasonable expectation possessed by the show.)
