Hi all, I know I’ve asked this question before but I cannot remember the answers, nor can I find the thread in which I asked it.

Is there any difference, according to the Church, with a celibate heterosexual male and a chaste homosexual male, without a religious vocation, adopting a child?

Are either of these scenarios allowed by the Church?

Also if the two instances above are applied to a woman rather than a man, does it make a difference?

Thanks in advance and God bless

Peter

The Pope in the nineteenth century adopted a Jewish boy and made him a Christian. Thus we see that the Church has no problem with a single male adopting a child. The sexual orientation of the individual is not a matter of morality but of genetic inheritance. The question of single women not enjoying the same rights is ridiculous.
