Celibacy/chastity and Petting

Consecrated life is more of purity of heart, mind and soul. Sinners we are but l thought with the vow of Chastity/Celibacy one has to try to detach herself or himself to sin against the body. I always wonder why at times they tend to pet when the only it is all the same apart from the covering of the clothes.

Would love to help Oswald, but you’re not making a lot of sense there friend, care to try again? What exactly are you asking here?

I’m confused as well. What do you mean that they tend to pet? I have never known a consecrated person who engages in petting. I have never even heard of such a person. I’m extremely confused. 🤷
