Read these text in Revelation 14:3-5
…and they sing a new song before the throne of and before the four living creatures and before the elders. No one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who has been redeemed from earth. It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are chaste, it is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes, these have been redeemed from mankind as first fruits for God and the Lamb, and in their mouth no lie was found, for they were spotless.
and compare that Passage with this passage in Matthew 19:19-11
"Not all men can receive this precept, but only those whom is its given. For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. He who is able to received this, let him received it.
and this First Epistle from Paul to the Corinthians 32-38
I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the affairs of the Lord, how to please the Lord; but for married man is anxious about wordly affairs, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided. And this unmarried woman or virgin is anxious about the affairs of the Lord, how to be holy in the body and spirit; but married woman is anxious about wordly affairs, how to please her husband. I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to God.
Does this seem that celibacy is more of a gift from God? If it is a gift I think there is a greater benefit for the religious and single men and women, who chose to be celibate. I don’t think Rome should change its on the issue of celibacy (in the Latin Rite) in the priesthood or any religious order.
