Cell Phones in Church

The view from the choir loft instantly reveals that the “culprits” in the ringing phone events are different every time it happens.

In other words, in a church of hundreds and hundreds of people, it only takes one person who thought their phone was off, who thought they left their phone in the car, who never had that happen before or since, to make it seem like no one cares.

Seriously, people just need to let this go. Is it disruptive? Yes. But we can also choose to just let it go and get on with our prayers.

If one can manage to navigate the search function here, one can find a number of “cell phones ringing during mass” threads. And that doesn’t include any threads that didn’t make the transition from the old forum or were lost in a crash.

What I have noticed is that this is the first such thread I have seen in a LONG time. That suggests to me that this is probably not nearly as big a problem as it once was. Mass is one out of the many events where people need to silence their phones (or leave them in the car) and most people manage to do so.

As a side note, there is a slight health trend,
of people, developing cancer like symptoms, on their heads.
Like standing next to the microwave all day.
Something about wave lengths - could be urban legend -
but bumble bees seem to be less and less about - etc
