No! If you scroll all the way up to the top of the thread, you’ll find a copy of the rules in one of the early posts, maybe about No. 8 or 10.

It has to be one word, and it has to change one letter, which can mean three things: add an extra letter, drop one of the existing letters, or exchange one letter for a different one.

Rearranging the letters doesn’t count as a “change.” For instance, you couldn’t go from wolf to flow, because that doesn’t change any letters. We’re free to rearrange the letters as much as we like, provided we have changed one letter. So from wolf to flew would be okay.
