Changing name canon law

When I was Baptized and confirmed. Both times I was asked for a Christian name. I didn’t know any saints or anything at that time. Is that name official? Is there a canon law process to change this name or take it on?

Jesus didn’t take a new name when He was baptized. Be at peace.
