Changing Parish vs changing Denomination

For others, like Jon I dare say, it is more like climbing a hill. Not much real change in height or distance, yet he is getting closer to something new.

The first one leads to radical changes that may not last. The second can lead to more trouble with the family, as suddenly you are on one level and they are somewhere else. The third is different. The change my be gradual and almost not noticed, until you look back

That’s all right - I had a minister from my former denomination equate someone’s transfer to her congregation from my original congregation (same denomination) as the same thing as my conversion to the Catholic faith.

I don’t know whether she was genuinely uninformed about the process of conversion to the Catholic faith, or whether she really thought that this other person had had to undergo a complete and radical transformation of her worldview, and question and re-evaluate each and every one of her core assumptions, in order to make the shift from congregation to congregation. 🤷

I would say it was a move in the right direction. the Missouri Synod is closer to Rome.
Now just need to keep praying and walking. 😉
