Technically it’s an abuse becuase no one is to add or remove words from the prayers specified by the Church unless there is a permission given in the rubrics (where it will say “In these or similar words…”). The word “bread” does nor appear in the institution narrative at that point and, thus, you have an abuse. Because this is at the consecraion it’s a serious abuse. I would, however, see if it happens again. It may be the priest simply misspoke (the mind plays funny tricks on us at times). If it is a pattern with this priest, then it should be addressed.
