Chant recommendations?

I’m looking for some high quality Gregorian chant CDs sung by monks or other religious. Thanks!
 
These two are really great! The second one is not sung by a choir of religious, just a regular choir, but it is still awesome!

  2. Allegri (Miserere), Palestrina (Missae Papae Marcelli), & Mundy (Vox Patris Caelestis) by The Tallis Scholars directed by Peter Phillips

That is an excellent album but it’s not Gregorian chant, rather it’s Renaissance polyphony. Chant is monophonic (all the voices singing the same melody in unison) whereas polyphony is all about different sections of the choir counterpointing each other.

The original poster may enjoy this album as well, I certainly don’t want to discourage anyone from checking it out - just trying to help avoid confusion. I love both chant and polyphony myself.

You can even find some albums that combine the two styles. For example some of the albums by Anonymous 4 (a wonderful recording ensemble) have a variety of chanted and polyphonic pieces, which create a nice variety. Look for their albums On Yoolis Night and An English Ladymass.
