Chap. 5 - "The Call to Hope" (Sr. Lucia's book)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Sister Lucia continually refers to Scripture as she shares the message of Fatima in her book. Reflecting on the scene in the Gospel when Jesus calmed the storm (Jn 6: 16- 21), Sister wrote:

What Jesus said then to the apostles applies to us today as well: "Take heart; it is I; have no fear. In the midst of the storms of life, it can sometimes seem to us – as it seemed to the apostles – that everything is a nightmare, making us afraid. But if we know how to raise our eyes to Christ, we shall see Him close to us and we shall have the happiness of hearing His harmonious voice deep within our heart, re-assuring us: “It is I; have no fear”. (p.76)

May this new year of 2017 - the Anniversary year of the Fatima Apparitions - be a special time of grace for all of us. May we draw closer to Jesus through Mary our Mother. It is her vocation to bring Jesus into the world. He came the first time through Mary physically, and He continues to come spiritually now and until His Final Coming, at the end of time. Come, Lord Jesus!
