Chaplet For the Holy Souls in Purgatory

Method: The Chaplet For the Holy Souls in Purgatory is recited using ordinary rosary beads of five decades.

Begin the Chaplet with an Apostles’ Creed said on the Crucifix

On the Our Father beads say an Our Father.

On the Hail Mary beads say the following prayer by Saint Gertrude the Great:

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy Souls in Purgatory. Amen

Our Lord told Saint Gertrude the Great that this prayer would release 1,000 souls from Purgatory each time it is said. (That’s 10,000 souls per decade or 50,000 souls per chaplet.)
