Besides 3:00pm (“the Hour of Mercy”), you can pray at any time.
For someone who is dying, praying the Chaplet for this person is also very powerful.

Dear Sacred Heart Fan. I usually make the Chaplet of Divine Mercy a part of my night prayers… but I do believe you can say it anytime. I will keep you in my prayers (your vocation). God bless you.

Yes you can say it anytime you want. I sometimes say it on the way to work (or the rosary), or sometimes I say it at night, after the rosary. On rarer occasions, I say it at 3:00 pm. The hour Jesus died on the cross.

Can you pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at any time?

Yes. In my case, I usually clock out of work at the Post Office at 11:30 PM at night. I recite the entire Chaplet as I walk to my car in the parking lot.

At 3 PM I clock into work, so I simply do a brief “Thank you, Jesus” and get on with it

You can…I have a pamphlet on this, and Jesus told St Faustina, that if you cannot make it to mass at 3pm…then to pray the Chaplet…if you cannot pray the Chaplet at 3pm, then pray it at another time that day, and/or think of Me (Jesus) at 3pm, for a few moments at 3pm, to honor when He was dying on the cross.
