Chaplet of St. Michael colors?

I’ve been listening to a Lighthouse Media CD about angels this week. The last segment of the CD is the Chaplet of St. Michael.

I know I can purchase a chaplet from various online entities, but I’d really like to make one of my own. (I’m a crafty gal. 😃 ) Many of the chaplets I’ve seen online use different colors of beads as you move from one choir of angels to the next, but I haven’t found any real consistency in which colors are used, and in what order the colors are placed.

Is there any sort of “standardized” color scheme for the Chaplet of St. Michael, or is it up to the whim/discretion/availability of colors in the bead stash of the maker?

Mine has black beads although there seems to be a hint of blue/green in it rather than fully jet black.
 
I have the Chaplet pamphlet from Mother Angelica’s Monastery somewhere. Yes, they list specific colors. If I find it I’ll PM you. It’s in my rosary making boxes somewhere…:hmmm:

1st Salutation: Seraphim: Ruby RED
2nd Salutation: Cherubim: Sapphire DK BLUE
3rd Salutation: Throne: Amethyst PURPLE
4th Salutation: Dominions: Crystal CLEAR
5th Salutation: Virtues: Garnet DARK RED
6th Salutation: Powers: Aquamarine PALE BLUE
7th Salutation: Principalities: Emerald GREEN
8th Salutation: Archangels: Aurora Borealis IRREDESCENT CRYSTAL
9th Salutation: Guardian Angels: Topaz GOLDEN YELLOW

I remember making these a few years back. They turn out really pretty. Swarovski crystals are the best for these, in about a 8mm size. I get mine from Ebay much less expensive that locally. Free shipping. 👍

This is great! I love the Saint Michael Chaplet. You have the colors for the choirs of angels, but what about the Our Fathers said at the end for St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael, and our Guardian angel? Is the Our Father bead for each choir of angels the same color as the Hail Mary beads? I would like to have a Saint Michael Chaplet made. I was going to have blue and crystal beads used, but if there are specific colors I want them. Thanks!
 
The Hail Mary’s are in the colors listed. 3 per Choir of Angel.
I generally make the lone Our Father bead in something else, like a solid silver or solid gold metal bead.
