FINALLY…some good news. This afternoon, a very puzzled but hopeful doctor told us the cancer is NOT melanoma. They are almost 100% sure. Will do three more path tests on yesterdays biopsy, but the biopsy shows it is not a typical Melanoma. It is probably sqamous, and while that is not good, they can try chemo and Radiation. If the word is go tomorrow, Gene will be in hospital for 4 days of treatment, and then home for a few. He has a small window of chance to beat this one more time.

The doctor called him a “Miracle Man”, if that tells you how they feel about it. Instead of completely hopeless, we may still have a chance to beat this off for awhile. Lots of problems we know, and no guarantee, but Hope lives still.
