I am attempting to create english language vespers booklets for the ordinary form of the Benedictine Divine Office. Their main books apparently only exist in Latin.
However, presently, I only own a Benedictine breviary for the extraordinary form. Until i buy the newer form breviary the “Liber antiphonarius pro diurnis horis: Books” I am limited in knowing all the precice details of what has changed and what remains the same. So here is the question.
I need to know if the “Chapter” for 2nd Vespers for Christ the King is the same as the old form, which is:
Capitulum Coloss. 1. 12.
Fratres : Grátias ágimus Deo Patri, qui dignos nos fecit in partem sortis sanctórum in lúmine, qui erípuit nos de potestáte tenebrárum, et tránstulit in regnum Fílii dilectiónis suæ.
R. Deo grátias.
The Little Chapter Col. 1.12.
Brethren : Let us give thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.
R. Thanks be to God.
Does the Chapter in the ordinary form continue to match this?
