What are your thoughts about it? Does the church approve it?

There are many, many threads on this topic. You might want to check them out instead of a rehash of the same debate 🙂

Many people have given their ideas previously. It’s not really necessary that they write them all over again. The Search function is your friend.

I could’ve sworn you had participated in the previous threads about this topic, OP. Anyway, yes - it’s approved. Nothing more need be said here.

I’ll bite. It’s been a while since I commented regarding this topic. I had never heard of this when I commented on it the first time. I was just a Catholic convert who was happy to be far away from the non-d and Pentecostal Churches in which I was raised.

I was never one for hand raising, speaking in tongues, and falling backwards, and frankly, I was a little disheartened when I learned that there were Catholic Churches who are taking part in this.

It’s probably better to do a search and read the threads. Sometimes there are topics that can bitterly divide people.

Yes, it’s a thing. Yes, the church has approved of several apostolates that promote it. All the recent popes have acknowledged it and interacted with it in some way (however briefly).

As a formed Protestant, that never cared for Pentecostalism, I have somewhat less than zero interest in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Still, I don’t have a problem with other people doing what they feel is best for their spiritual growth.

This forum has been around for over a decade.
There are very few new threads created.

If one does not want to participate in a particular thread, don’t.

Trying to stop new threads on a subject because it has been discussed before does not at all contribute to open discourse.
It does however prevent new people from contributing.
