Cheating... or not? And is cheating a sin?

Hi!

I had a test recently and it was an online version. After the time exceeded, I realised I forgot to delete a word that was all alone by itself in the last line of my answers. I automatically deleted one letter of the word then stopped because I immediately regretted doing it. I don’t know if this constitutes cheating because the word was not part of my main answer. I don’t know if I committed a sin as well.

Please advise!

I’ve been a TA. I would so not care about this. If it didn’t actually modify any of your answers, it wouldn’t matter at all.

I agree. I wouldn’t class it as cheating because the act didn’t modify an answer. There’s nothing to be worried about.
