**Has anyone ever looked at the Chevrolet symbol(which we all see dozens of times every day) and thought that it just might have been put there on purpose as a anti-christian symbol?—It is after all an obfuscated distorted cross… My attempt at artwork has failed, but we all know what the symbol looks like.

There are occultic symbols(triangles-pentagrams etc) and names(cobra, firebird, saturn etc) on all sorts of cars and I don’t think it’s to rediculous to think that the Chev symbol may indeed be one of them.

It’s a stylized bowtie.

Don’t tell me that the bowtie is demonic:eek: (Well, I guess it could be because I have a devil of a time tieing one.)

LOL! Not sure if the late archbishop would approve, but this is funny!

I really don’t think the Chevy symbol is anti-Christian. You can always read meaning into symbols that wasn’t intended. I remember once reading that some protestants were convinced that catholics had hidden a rosary in one of the US paper money denominations (I forget which one). This was in the late 1800’s, I think. It was actually a bunch of berries, but anti-catholic conspiracy theorists were sure the catholics were up to something sinister.

Uhummm,
Popular legend has it that the Chevrolet logo was inspired by wallpaper in a French hotel where William C. Durant was staying (the legend says he saw the pattern marching off into infinity as a design on the wallpaper and tore a piece of it off to keep to show to friends and later turn into the company logo). However, his wife says that the bowtie emblem was first seen by her husband in a Virginia newspaper on a vacation around 1912, upon which he told her that he thought it’d be a very good emblem for the Chevrolet (per Chevrolet Pro Management Magazine, October 1986).

Gotta love it:

What a burden it must be to live with this kind of paranoia!

What’s next? Should we believe that the Mercedes-Benz emblem is a pro-Christian Trinitarian symbol?

That would gives a new meaning to the song “Oh Lord, Won’t you buy me a Mercedes-Benz…”

No, the Mercedes-Benz logo is one of those dang hippy peace signs. And the Chrysler logo is a pentacle. And the Oldsmobile logo is a phallic symbol. And the Mitsubishi logo was designed by the Trilateral Commission. And… yes, Nurse Ratched, I’ll take my medication now.

I like that one. I drive a benz it has 441,000 miles on it and it will likely be around when Christ returns.

Hmm… news to me.

I HAD heard that Volvos are only for men. Look at the logo!
