Hope to see you there!! Here’s the Itinerary…

On the heels of the Supreme Court ruling upholding the federal ban on Partial Birth Abortion, it is urgent that we show our fellow citizens that all forms of abortion are brutal and ought to be likewise outlawed. Join the Pro-Life Action League as we expose the truth of what abortion does to its unborn victims during our eighth annual Face the Truth Tour throughout northeastern Illinois.

The complete itinerary for the 2007 Tour has just been published and is now available online. The Tour will begin Saturday, July 7 in Joliet, which drew the largest number of volunteers during last year’s Tour.

The Tour will then head to Downtown Chicago on Monday, July 9, followed by dates in Rockford, Chicago’s South Side, the Northern and Western suburbs. The Tour will conclude with sites in the Near North suburbs on Saturday, July 14.

Thanks to efforts like our Face the Truth Tour, abortion has remained ever before the public mind. As we approach the 2008 election, your help is needed more than ever on this life-saving, heart-changing mission.

There are a lot of critics of these sorts of demonstrations. But the Pro-Life Action League does them right. If anyone wants to know or see how to both be effective and prudent about offering such displays, they would be well advised to check out the methods (and maybe even attend one of the demonstrations) developed by this organization.

Abortion Pictures Say It All

I admit that where I was standing across the street, I encountered very little opposition this time except for some snide remarks. In fact, a number of people thanked me for being there and I was questioned by one young lady to whom I pointed out that all our sign said was “abortion,” and had a pictures of an aborted baby. It doesn’t even say we’re for it or against abortion.

I said, “What if I were holding a sign that said ‘McDonalds,’ and had a picture of a hamburger. Viewers would assume that I was pro-hamburger, not against hamburgers. But when I hold a picture of an aborted baby they immediately assume I am against abortion. Why? Because everyone knows instinctively that abortion is wrong and that when you hold a picture of an aborted baby you are not supporting abortion, but you are opposing it.”

She mused over that analogy for a few seconds and said, “That make sense. Now I have to get to work. I work at McDonalds.”

During Wednesday’s Face the Truth Day we covered six overpasses, had lines of pictures at the James R Thompson State of Illinois Building during Lisa Madigan’s press conference, leafleted the Daley Plaza and the Loop. We even found time to hold a dozen Malachi pictures in front of Fay Clayton’s Law offices on Wacker Drive. We thank those who came out on this perfect September day to help in winning the victory over abortion.

“Come and join us on this years Face The Truth Tour. If you can’t make it, then please pray for us and the hearts of Americans who see the pictures during the Tour from July 7-14!”

I coulda sworn that I was downtown on the 9th and at Union Station. In fact, I recall LOOKING for this demonstration, but to no avail.
