Before Catholics Come Home commercials started airing in the Chicago area during Advent last year, parishioners at Our Lady of the Woods in Orland Park got involved in planning ways to be more welcoming and started becoming more interested in their own faith, said Michael Callahan, the parish’s pastoral minister.

I am really happy to hear that. I like those comercials. Even though they’re geared primarily towards Catholics, they’re generally going on about how Jesus doesn’t care what you’ve done or who you are, or what your situation, He’s ready to welcome you back with open arms. Hopefully some unbeliever will see that comercial and their heart will be moved towards Christ. I love to see Jesus get some good PR. X)

Unfortunately, from what I’ve heard there are advertisments playing on the CTA (Chicago’s mass transit system) encouraging people to skip church on Sundays and sleep in. Hopefully those won’t do as well…
