Not out to harm Catholics??? What could be more harmful than leading people away from Christ’s Church of salvation, What could be more harmful than young teenagers questioning life and maybe the long held belief’s of their parents picking up and reading his hateful lie’s.

His a harmless old man??? That’s like saying the watch tower bible and tract society are just a harmless publishing house!

Jack Chick will have to answer for his actions one day, like all of us he will be judged on thought and deed, and I know that the very idea of that humbles me into silence and reverence, it makes me tremble in my boots and I know that I will be relying on Gods forbearance and charity towards a sinner however I would hate to be in Jack Chicks shoes.
 
The “gay” lobby is more anti-Catholic than Jack Chick. For example, neither Jack Chick nor his followers have ever disrupted a Mass in protest of Catholic Church doctrines.

I agree completely. Also, how many Catholics have left their faith after reading a Chick tract? Chick is not the real threat to the Church.

One who hides in the shadows and only communicates with illogical, factually incorrect and offensive propaganda is doing the work, however innocently or naively, of the Lord of Darkness and the Father of Lies. His very behavior should speak of the type of man he is. The great martyrs were not afraid of dying for their faith. One has to question a man who hides for his.

My friend, Jack Chick deserves no credence.

One of his tracts refers to Holy Communion as the “Death Cookie.” That sort of slander against the Church and the holy sacraments is not even worth replying to – anymore than we should attempt to refute the KKK. If he says such hideous, hateful, false things about Holy Communion, he shouldn’t be given any credence at all.

Don’t waste your time listening to hate mongers. Seeks the true Gospel – which is filled with the love and mercy of God. May the Holy Spirit lead you to truth.

And thanks for coming to CAF. I hope you learn more about the Church and what it has to offer.

I don’t much like any Chick’s tracts, even the ones that aren’t anti-Catholic. Most of his tracts seem to reduce the Christian faith to an advertisement. Like in his tracts at the end it always says something like “Accept Jesus as our Savior Today, sign below if you did.” Then there’s the extremist KJB only stuff.b 🤷

I think you greatly underestimate Chick’s influence among young, impressionable people who are fed anti-Catholic lies at their churches. I grew up in the Bible Belt. My Sunday school teachers fed me anti-Catholic propaganda. That sort of hatred is very harmful. And Jack Chick feeds that hatred. He and his followers may not have interrupted a Mass, but he has corrupted many minds.

Despite this upbringing, I ended up in the Catholic Church.

It is slanderous to all Churches who believe in the Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist. Chick is a nut

Chick is a mean little man, with mean little thoughts, all wrapped up in his mean little world. I’ve seen better writing on the back of cereal boxes. Twenty cats dropped on twenty keyboards for twenty minutes would write something more wholesome and Christian than the tripe that Chick spews forth.

Believe it or not, there is stuff worse than Chick. Years ago a church member was cleaning out his bookshelves and gave me material, some of them comic books, from Peter Ruckman, nortorious fundy even the wide-eyeds stayed away from. His stuff was clearly the work of someone who needed help desparately.
The books went into the trash.

I am concerned that you are drawn to all of this information and yet come here. Am I to think you are seeking the truth?

I recommend to you, “Pope Pius XII and World War II: The Documented Truth: A Compilation of International Evidence Revealing the Wartime Acts of the Vatican”, compiled and edited by Gary L Krupp.

Pray to the Holy Spirit to lead you to the truth, and help break that attachment to passions that dwell on such material. It is not from God.
