Chick's Rack

If you glue the tracts together, waterproof the whole thing, and place the rack outside your front door, it will keep evangelists away. It might attract some even more unwelcome presences, but that’s why we have sacramentals.

Its just a rack for your Chick tracts, jack. You DO have chick tracts, don’t you?
 
When I saw the topic “Chick’s rack”, I was questionning the appropriateness of this topic . . . thinking it better suited to a 50’s era male GQ forum. Afterall, most woman don’t like to be called “chick” and some topics are just not right for a Catholic forum.

If I walked into a business that had that thing on display, I’d RUN out the door; even if I was starving and that business had the only bread within miles.
 
How do you suppose God views Jack Chick? True, he is spouting nonsense, but he obviously believes he is doing the will of God by putting out his tracts.

What if someone who thought the were doing the will of God were going around saying that Jesus was a false prophet and anyone who listened to Him were going to burn in hell…how do you think God would look at that person? After all, he believes that he is doing the will of God. 😉

So? Believing one is “doing the will of God” does not excuse error and bigotry. Many believe they are “doing the will of God” and yet if they reject the truth when handed to them and they are shown to be wrong, (publically no less) then doesn’t that become wilfull disobedience and sin?

That certainly is true. However, I feel compelled to urge all of us, myself included, to pray for Mr. Chick. It is easy to talk on and on about those who are hostile to us, but we must never forget we are talking about a human being, whom God loves so much, He was willing to die for him. Anyway, this was really on my heart, so please understand I’m not condemning any of you. I just think that in our discussion of Mr. Chick and other anti-Catholics, we must remember to pray for them.

I see where you’re coming from, but when I saw this topic I knew exactly what Chick’s rack referred to! The only difference was that I had envisioned a wall-mounted rack. I wonder what a freudian would make out of this?

Yes I collect them by the hundreds whenever I can. You see, I have a lovely huge fireplace and I’m expecting a cold winter… 😉

Yea, kind of. I was dealing with a protestant on another board that kept making the claim the LXX NEVER EXISTED and I did a google search with a few lines he put out and I found it was a chick tract trying to argue it is made up. Well on the home page I saw the rack and I had to post such a sad excuse for apologetics aimed at the weak.

p.s. I went back and looked and found out I had the price wrong, it says:

1,500 tracts cost $191!!!
3,000 tracts cost $369!!!

Someone’s out to make a few $$$$ along the way!!

True but quite senceably you can think you doing the will of God and far from it read this its in matthew 7
