Child drownings

A few weeks ago, my dd was choking on a chicken nugget. It took almost a full hour to dislodge it from her throat, but it didn’t block her windpipe so much that she couldn’t breathe.

She had a lot of stridor, some vomiting, and quite a bit of gagging, so I called dh who was at work on the ambulance in another town, and he called in the local ambulance. So they came to the house, examined her, and the paramedic (a mom herself) bribed my dd by paying her $2 in order to listen to her lungs. She talked about her own little girl, who is the same age (three years) with the same name, and how the two girls could play together once my dd was feeling better.

Today I learned that last night, this paramedic’s dd drowned in a babysitter’s pool. She was technically dead, but they were able to revive her and restart her heart. Right now she’s in critical care and being monitored for secondary drowning, pneumonia, and brain activity. I really don’t know how serious it is, but I am just sick inside.

Another little child - a boy - also being babysat, died with her in the pool and was also revived. I have no idea what his status is. He is two.

So please pray for her and her daughter, and the little boy who was also involved. Thanks. 😦

Praying for the daughter of this paramedic and also for the other little child…Lord please hear our prayers for these children and for their families and friends …
 
Dear God. Please help these 2 little children of Yours. They desperately need Your help. They are in Your hands and I pray that you will bring us a miracle and help them recover fully. God, we know how dangerous pools and children around them can be but accidents happen sometimes. Please, GOD, PLEASE, help these 2 wonderful children to recover. Guide the hands of the doctors and nurses and give them the skills and wisdom to assist these young people. Amen, Amen

for the little children.

Oh my goodness, what a tragedy! Praying for a miraculous healing of the little girl, for the poor mother and all who are involved.

Lord, watch over your precious little ones, with your love and mercy, and your healing grace. Be it Your Will, Lord, we implore you, revive your children, restore them to health, and protect them always from danger. May you always hold them in your loving heart, and never let them stray from your divine protection. Comfort their families Lord, as they endure this tragic time. May you sit with them at their children’s bedside, and hold them in your loving embrace, as they turn to you in prayer for your mercy on these beloved children.
