Young teenages are not meant to bear children.
90 girls under the age of 16 die every day from pregnancy. Pregnancy is the second biggest killer of teenage girls.
All of problems that come with pregnancy are 4 times more likely to occur in girls under 16. That includes dangers to the child.

If teenagers are not meant to bear children why nature made them produce fertile ready egg, release it from overies every month and keep ready their uterus for receiving the fertilized egg for further growth ? And if no fertilised egg is received, the thick wall of the uterus formed to carry the fertilized egg dissolves and is discharged as periods bleeding.
Anyway my point was not that such child pregnancy should be encouraged, but to say that it can be managed if required without necessarily going for abortion etc on the pretext that the child is too young to carry on with the pregnency.

Nature doesn’t necessarily function well. If it did there wouldn’t be sickness or death or disabilities. If it did pregnancy wouldn’t be dangerous or painful.
Females shouldn’t become fertile before they can safely bear children. However, as in this fallen world nature doesn’t function well, we have to deal with the problem of underage pregnancies in a way that doesn’t make things worse.

While this is interesting, there’s a big difference in the age as far as physical and mental birth preparation. Was not our Blessed Mother about 15. 15 is more young woman physically than child. I’m open to correction.

Sexual maturity isn’t a switch that gets turned on. It’s a series of steps. An 11 year old girl is at much greater risks. Such a pregnancy is enormously dangerous.
