Hi! I really need someone to talk too, so I will turn to the forum. My closest friend I used to talk to died. (my mom).’
Anyways when I was in school (3rd to 7th) I was emotionally and phiscaly torchered by my piers. I would be pined up against a wall by a girl who would pull up my uniform skirt and show my underwear. This happened countless times while my class mates stared and said noting. I would be picked att because I was the fat girl. The kids would always say I smelled because you know , fat people smell…
A Teacher would witness this and say nothing which made me feel even worse.

I started a facebook profile and came into contact with a few people from this class. The shocking part is they dont remember me.
I feel just horrified because they have made such a impact in my life and my self esteem and they dont remember me.
I want to tell them how I was treated but that would not solve anything.

How can I get over this?

Hello,
sorry to hear you are upset by these morons, for that is what they are!! The way I see it is you have two choices, (1) you can say nothing and put it down to one of life’s more unpleasant experiences or (2) you can go on to facebook tell them who you are and what happened and that whether they are sorry for what they did or not, you have moved on and YOU FORGIVE THEM!!.
They will either laugh or start to think and realise how mean they were, who knows, it might happen to their kids one day and then it will really hit home.I wish you all the best for your future, be strong and keep praying,
God Bless,
Mick.👍🙂

Assertive confrontation with these people will go a long way to help you get over this. They might just be saying that they don’t remember you because now they are embarassed by their actions. Pick one and in a non-accusatory, unemotional way recall what happened and how it has negatively affected your life and then listen to their side of it. Hopefully, you can find some closure to this ugly part of your life and maybe make some “new” old friends.

I think the best way to deal with this is to get counseling, frankly. I say that as a person with similar childhood experiences who saw a therapist for many years in order to process them and find a sense of peace.

Please remember that these people were children when they did these things to you, and you don’t know what kind of home lives they may have had or what kinds of abuse they may have also been experiencing at the time. This does not excuse what they did to you, it may merely explain why they do not remember you. They may have been experiencing their own painful struggles at the time.

My heart goes out to you for what you endured. You are in my prayers. God bless.
