There is no mention of the size of the population or it’s gender breakdown.

There is mention of another son. He is even named.

Maybe my wording wasn’t good enough. When I said “God allowed”, I meant He tolerated it for some time. He allowed it to happen even though it is against His Law.

Usually God allows evil so greater good may arise. In this case, in order for humanity to multiply (which is good), He tolerated procreation among siblings for a short while.

Aulef thats is without a doubt the best possible explanation i have come across, because God does allow us to sin, it does no mean God approves of it.

But I was wondering, if Adam and Eve did not sin, they would still have to populate the earth, right? if you get where i am going with my original question and incest, because there would be no sins involved if they obeyed God. Would it then still be considered incest since there was no original sin? Interesting to say the least!

You have to address your question to the theologians or directly to a Priest (EWTN).

So God Created many people (or they evolved from some subhuman species) in order to fill the world.

Oh, but God did not change the moral law, he added to it. Matthew 5:21:
But it was not revealed from the beginning; consider the issue of divorce and remarriage. The religious and Jesus’ own Disciples were caught off guard when Jesus rejected the idea of divorce… they challenged Him, 'so why did Moses allowed a man to divorce his wife (note that it was not the other way around)? Jesus came back with “It was not so from the beginning but for the hardness of man’s heart Moses made concessions (yeah, I’m paraphrasing); but from the Beginning One man would marry One woman (no multiple wives/husbands and no homosexual unions); what God brings together let no man set asunder!” (paraphrased)

Changes take effect even after the Law is Revealed!

I see what you mean. I’ll ask the priests where I go to and come back here with what they have to say.

All I have to say is that you are adding “what ifs” that don’t seem belong. If they didn’t sin, then many other things would be different. Maybe they wouldn’t have to be fruitful and multiply. Maybe they would do procreate in a different way.

Yes, I would appreciate it if you guys would see what priest and ewtn has to say. Will be waiting, no rush, Thank you

I am offering the only other possibility/ies to not accepting the need for Adam’s and Eve’s children to come together in order to (“be fruitful and multiply”) populate the planet–I should have made the statement in the form of question, my bad.

dam and Eve were the first humans but not the only humans or alternatively Cain joined with his sister.
There were never any humans other than Adam and Eve, their children and those descended from them. No ‘Pre-Adamites’ and no other ‘First Parents’.

On the evidence, Cain and Seth married their own sisters. I doubt there were any genetic problems with that so early in our history
