A coworkers of mine has asked for a recommendation of a good children’s Bible. The children in question are 9 and 10, soon to be 10 and 11. I told him that the New American Bible might be good, and that someone could go over it with them. The issue with this is that their parents are not practicing, and likely know little of the faith. I told him i would check for him on good options.
So here I am. I am thinking that, since the children are at least old enough to understand plain English, the New American might be best. A Bible study for children that the parents can administer might also be helpful, along with a YouCat. I have also recommended talking to the local parish priest about classes for catechesis. Any recommendations?
