Can anyone suggest a really good children’s Bible? Looking for one with lots of stories!

My daughter got one for Christmas and we love it. It is called Bible for Young Catholics, commentary by Anne Eileen Heffernan, FSP, Illustrations by Deborah J. White.

There are book and chapters listed throughout but then the content is in a story form. There are illustrations, maps, a glossary, time chart, important people, etc. My 7 year old daughter had been reading a children’s bible and was ready for more (she actually asked for a Bible!)

I decided on this one by looking through the choices available at Adoremus Books and reading the reviews at Amazon.

My wife received “The Picture Bible” by Iva Hoth when she was a kid, and we got a new one for our kids a few years ago. It is essentially the entire Bible, but in comicbook form. I’ve spot checked it and didn’t find any glaring errors. Don’t get me wrong, it is still a rewriting of the Bible to put it into this format. But you have that issue with a lot of kids Bibles. I’ve had conversations with my kids about things in the Bible and they are able knowledgeably talk about the content.
