Not anymore. Thank goodness.

(Sorry, it was torture to hear. 😊)

We do. They are actually pretty good, but so is most of the music. 😉

We do, at my FSSP parish. They only sing at Mass 5-6 times a year, so that they have lots of time to prepare for each Mass. Since they are kids, there’s a high turnover rate in comparison to the choir which sings Mass weekly, so it’s hard to keep ahold of a large enough number of experienced singers to increase the frequency of Masses they sing per year.

They usually do quite well.

Does your church have a children’s choir?
not exactly, but we do have a teen choir

they only play at mass once a month and cold use some more practice. they play instruments as well. but they aren’t bad

at least it’s getting them involved in something at church

There’s a group from the day school that sings a few times a year and a Children’s Christmas Choir that practice for three weeks and sings at an evening Mass on Christmas Eve.

Yes, we do. Sometimes both the adult & childrens choirs sing together.

We do, it is the chorus from the parish school. The do mass once per month during the school year, with adult musicians from the regular music ministry. They have some really fantastic singers amongst the 7th and 8th graders!

Yes, it is good that the teenagers are involved.

We do, but they are quite informal and we only see and hear them on special occasions. We do have a young adult choir and they are pretty good too. We have an excellent music ministry! 👍

Our Inter-faith Council has a childrens’ choir made up of most of the churches, mosques, synagogues in our community.

Children’s choirs are for the children and for their education, not for adults that can’t see the beauty in the efforts of children.

I can’t imagine anyone not loving it when children sing.

I am happy that you love hearing children sing.
You don’t need to imagine it anymore, because yes, there are people that don’t enjoy it. It doesn’t make them evil or child haters. I just don’t want to hear their choir. At least, not the one at my church. The same way some people don’t want to hear a folk group, or for others, classical music. 🤷

I one went to a church which had the children’s choir lead the singing about 1 Sunday in 4.
