Patents and others what do you find ok for young children (to age 12)? Should we be dressing them like mini adults and buy the latest popular fads?
Its not just you,you are not alone.I like dresses with sleeves, short or long. The dresses have to fall below the knee when seated. I have found that if I keep them this long, even if she is getting into some rough-and-tumble play, she still almost never shows anything inappropriate. Cotton knit is nice for playclothes. I’ll get other nicer fabrics for church and so forth, but I do not tend to buy velour, or anything with fur or sequins on it, anything that has a “princess” theme, etc. (I don’t want my daughter to grow up thinking that she should be treated like royalty. I just love her for exactly who she is, etc. ) I also have noticed that some of the styles for the girls now, like the sweater cardigans that tie just under the breastbone, are subtly suggestive. I don’t like to see these on adults either, b/c it’s like saying “look here!” But that’s probably just me.
Hi,So far seems like most of you agree with me. Where to you go to find classic clothing that is affordable?
no prostitots please
She’s about the age I was when I started wearing makeup. Maybe start her out slowly, I was allowed lip gloss, powder, and concealer (for pimples) first, and then a little light eyeshadow and mascara. I still don’t wear much..
Oh she is in 8th grade and still not allowed make-up. Im honestly not sure when I should let her. Her friends look like you know whats.with make up on. I figure when I am ready I will take her to the mall and they will show her how to wear make-up properly.
What do you all think?
I think 8th grade is probably ok for some make up. What I recommend is taking her to a department store where they do makeovers and have them show her how to apply make up so it looks natural. Your not supposed to look like you have make up on and young girls (and even some grown women) don’t get that.Hi,
