A few years back we started a Children’s liturgy program at our Church. It’s for the children who have not received their first holy communion and younger ( but old enough not to have to change any diapers).
The main reason for starting it was to help our kids as well as other children that age the basics on how to understand the mass and liturgy as well as educate them on how we act in church, etc. etc

Many people like and enjoy this, it has brought life back into a church that was getting older, bringing in families with young children. However some think it’s a spectacle and thinks it takes away from the mass.

Is there any CREDITABLE resources that either acknowledge or condemn children’s liturgy?

I would do some research into the GDC (General Directory of Catechesis) as well as cite the Catechism, which charges us to pass on the Faith (catechesis means to echo back). We do a CLOW (Children’s Liturgy of the Word) at my parish. It is quite successful.
