Monsignor Julius Jia Zhiguo, an underground Catholic bishop, was arrested outside his home on Monday, according to a Vatican missionary news agency, Asianews.

This is the bishop’s sixth arrest since January 2004.

I worked three weeks in China this year. Though there are many beautiful things, and friendly people, I felt out of place- there was no Church, no crosses. After China I stopped in Korea for a few days, and was able to attend mass. The mass at the Kyung Mun Cathedral in Seoul was very beautiful.
