Christianity crackdown: Cross TORN DOWN from church

POLICE have torn down a cross in a Catholic church, in a blatant act of Christian persecution which has sparked a wave of outrage.

Branding the cross of Zhumadian church “too visible”, government authorities tore the cross down on October 3.

In 2017 the bishop had been been taken into custody for 7 months, when the government tried to force him to sanction government control of the Catholic Church.

I have read about this happening there. I hope it is not too frequent. They really do want to squelch all religion. How that relates to our Catholic faith, I do not know.

Honestly, even more than the changes and the scandals, the new pact with China that the Vatican has made is making me truly question the Church. I don’t understand why we would toss these suffering people under the bus the way we have.
