Chinese Catholics barricade themselves in church to prevent demolition

Here’s the kicker:

Officials have reportedly claimed that “the Vatican supports us” and have ordered an additional 40 churches be destroyed.

What are the benefits supposed to be for Chinese Catholics of this “deal” Pope Francis agreed to (with the help of Cardinal–errrr–Mr. McCarrick)? Have there been any?

May the Martyr Saints of China intercede for our brothers and sisters there.

The deal the Vatican struck with China has, to my knowledge, never been made public… Cardinal Zen has condemned it in the harshest terms. Have there been benefits for Catholics? I really don’t know. At least the appointment of bishops should go more smoothly? Long term benefits that we won’t see for a while perhaps?

This should be in the mainstream media really. We see stories on other religious persecution there, this is bad.
