I can’t remember who my confirmation saint was or if I even selected one. Should we choose saints based on how similar we are to them? It is challenging to read about saints you feel very different from but there is more to learn.
I have read about enough saints. I still can’t figure out one I want to write a modernized tale about.
Writing is difficult.
I like St. Rose of Lima simply because she was beautiful. Her narrative was offputting and farfetched asceticism and penances I didn’t care for.
I like blessed Chiara badano. She is young and powerful yet remarkably average story. Hmm…maybe I’ll write about someone like her.

I was told by an old Orthodox lady that the saints choose you. Is your baptismal name the name of a saint? On whose feast day were you born? I read about my baptismal name saint and found we had a lot in common. Almost supernatural, lol. I was confirmed in ,the Eastern Catholic church and you do not chose a saint name if you have already been given one.

St. Gertrude the great has a similar birthday to me. I wasnt given a baptismal saint name. Perhaps she chose me.
