Last night i visited a dofferent parish. I had never experienced Chrism in my ashes before. It didn’t seem to fit the pentient nature of the season. It Chrism okay to be used to help the ashes stick better?
I’m not sure why you would need chrism. Ashes and some water seem to make them sticky enough in my experience. Secondly, chrism blessed at a diocesan Chrism Mass is blessed for the purpose of being for the sick or catechumens. It would seem inappropriate to use them for a different purpose.
