Hello,
I am currently in duscussion with a non-Catholic friend regarding the ordination of women (she is FOR it, and I’m trying to explain that it is a non-issue). I used the “Christ as the Bridegroom/Church as the Bride” analogy, but she countered with, “But what about married priests then?” She says married priests would be bigamists using my line of thinking. Okay, I’m at a loss. She also accused me of referencing a Bible verse which has “nothing to do with this” (Lk 5:33). There is so much I want to say to her, but my mind is a jumble. Can you help me out? I think I’m in over my head.
