Christ Glorified Body

I know that as Catholics we can believe or not believe in life on other planets. I also know that we believe in the resurrection of the body. I also know that we believe the Christ was resurrected and is in heaven in his glorified body.

Let’s assume that there is life on other planets. Let’s also assume that life on these planets is intelligent. It is scientifically probable that even intelligent life on other planets is drastically different from life on Earth. Let’s assume that this life has a flawed nature and is in need of redemption. To me it would not be a stretch that the Father would redeem the life on this planet the same way he did on Earth by sending his only Son (the second person of the Trinity). One could assume that the situation would unfold very similarly. Therefore, if the Son (the second person of the Trinity) were to assume bodily form on another planet, die, and be raised, which glorified body would he have?

I realize that there are so many assumptions in this scenario that it is almost ridiculous to consider. I realize that God could save them in many ways (if they even needed saving at all). However, to me, God saved us in such a special way (by sending his Son to show us to him, to die, and to be resurrected) that it would be hard for me to imagine that God would not do this for all of his creations regardless of the planet they were on.

Again, I realize that this situation is a bit odd and cannot be answered. However, I would appreciate your thoughts.

See I would have though Christ’s sacrifice on Calvary redeemed the entirety of creation(including any culpable life on other worlds-I never thought I’d ever say anything like that) not just fallen humanity, no?

I myself am a “nonbeliever” in aliens of any kind, HOWEVER:

If God became one of the aliens as He became a human being, this would be wholly separate from our LORD as a human being. Our LORD’s human body, mind, will, soul, life, etc, are an inseparable unity, just as they are for us, and also His divine person.

So it would not be our LORD as we know Him going through a second “incarnation.”. It would be the infinite God embodying ( if the other race had “bodies”) as one of them, in the same way that He became one of us. In the person of our LORD, He would not be changed at all, and we would meet His human self in eternity.

An infinite God can take on as many beings/bodies as He cares to.

Since God is omnipotent, he can do anything he wants. I read somewhere St Thomas Aquinas said the number of angles is infinate. Thats a lot of angles for one planet:shrug:

Quite an interesting thought. I will have to ponder it longer to figure out exactly what you are saying. Compliment intended. Basically I am saying I have no clue what you are saying because it is so far beyond my thought processes that I need time to figure it out.
