Hi,

I’m from Philippines, and a Roman Catholic. In case you didn’t know, Philippines is the birthplace of the Iglesia ni Cristo, a non-Catholic group denying Christ’s divinity. For more information about them, just visit the Library on the non-Catholic groups tract.

okay, so here is a question asked by them to those believing that Christ is God:

"If Jesus is God, then why is He not worshipped by Mary and His Apostles? Show us verses in the bible which directly state Mary and the Apostles worshipping Jesus"

I really need your help here thanks

Others who worshipped Jesus:

That includes Mary, who I feel worshipped Jesus first with Joseph in the manger…

Who is Elizabeth referring to when she uses the word “Lord” twice in this passage?

In the latter verse, she references God who spoke to Mary through the angel, Gabriel.

In the former, she references the child in Mary’s womb.

Obviously, she equates the two.

they named their church after a “just a man”

…so…is jesus any special to them?if they dedicate their selves to god…why name your church after a “plain being”

but wait if your a catholic and i think a reader of bible, why you want others to prove that jesus is god? it seems that you dont understand also the teaching of trinity that is your church’s doctrine?? hehe^_^
well, i understand it if you cant understand it also because that doctrine is not in the bible, perhaps only an addition of the catholics right?? also doctrines about christmas, worshiping idols,prayers that is being repeated again and again and again, feasts(for the patrons or saints), and others…

First of all, why are you so defensive of Iglesia ni Cristo? Why do you spend your posts defending that church? I can see that you didn’t post your religious affiliation. Well, are you not proud of your religion? Are you not going to tell the world for what you believe? Are you ashamed of your religion?

and second. is wikipedia is like a dictionary right?? most of the users of the internet browse to that site to know a fact, and even it has “edit” sign, do you think many will lie and give just opinions about that thing, for example the pres. of this country, do you see such a negative reviews or a sign there that “for exam. (read me is a worst president in our country and he/she is a looser)” just like that… because that library(in this site) where you want others to look up is bias. why? because this is a catholic website, so you will expect that in their articles is about negatives about a religion or whatever that they are referring to… right??

Okay, thanks for your clarification. I thought you’re ashamed of your religion because I keep on asking and you’re not giving me the answer. Thank you for admitting that you’re an INC. That’s what I would want to know. And why, am I making it a big deal? No, I’m not. I am just asking, and the reason why I want to know about your religion is for our readers to have an idea about your beliefs and position and so they would get to know more about Iglesia ni Cristo. It’s that simple.
