Hi everyone,
I have this christian coworker, who doesn’t call himself christian. He says he’s a follower of Jesus Christ, and a disciple of God. He has a tendency to bring up the topic of religion at all times, and tries to get everyone to see his point of view, saying that catholics have the wrong fait and so on.

My question is, how do I approch him about this. I would love to make him see the light in the True Religion, but he is so closed minded that I do not know what to do. Many people are begining to turn to him for advice, and go away from their catholic faith. What do I do?

Thanks.

Wait for him to spout some anti-catholic garbage that’s based in lies about what the church teaches (Mary worship, for example). Cough. State, “I thought it was sinful to lie.”

That should open the discussion nicely. Then inform him of what the church REALLY teaches and once you’ve wound through all of his arguments (and this may take extensive apologetics skills/patience) then tell him plainly: “you were probably mislead before, but now you have been properly informed. A good follower of Christ with a well formed moral conscience would not continue to deliberately spread information that they know is erroneous in order to deceive others.”

🙂 Then do it every time he starts spouting anti-catholic garbage.
