Christian denominations question

Where would we classify people who claim to be born again Christians? For example Are they Lutherans? Quakers? Baptist?

Well according to the bible anyone who is baptized is born again, but the question is do we follow Christ call with our free will?

People who claim to be “born again” are from the Anabaptist tradtion but don’t even realize how far they have changed from thier founder John smyth 1600 years after Christ.

None of the above. Lutherans, Quakers, Baptists are denominations. The people I’ve seen who identify as Born Again Christians are usually Non-Denominational.
 
Any Christian from any denomination can be a born again Christian.

Christians who identify as “born again Christians” are usually evangelicals or fundamentalists.

Evangelicalism is a movement, not a denomination. You can be an evangelical Baptist or an evangelical Anglican or an evangelical Lutheran or an evangelical Quaker.

Non denominational is code word for Anabaptsit that drinks lattes and goes to wine bars. It’s Anabaptist they will say they are non denominational

Which means
  1. believers only baptism
  2. once saved always saved
  3. all sins are equal (giving someone the finger or killing them is the same b/c your “saved”
  4. doesn’t believe in the creeds, church fathers (denies historical facts)
  5. there Anabaptist

It really depends on the person. If someone tells you they are “born again,” ask them if they identify with a denomination. I’ve heard of all sorts of “born again” Christians. I’ve even met a “born again” Catholic! :eek:

Yes =). You should try attending an Evangelical Mass (its an experience!), the fundamental precepts of the evangelical movement is simple: " And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:15-16)
