I don’t see many, so to speak. I think one corrupts it all, however. He is judging the Church. To use a term like religion and lumping all his bad impressions into it and taking all he likes out of it is unfair. The Church does not condone pornography for example. But he implies he went to church and it didn’t stop him from enjoying it, as if the church magically will cause you to not participate in any sinfull actions. We must work for our salvation too. This does not merit heaven. We must honor the sacraments, like Paul tells us about communion. This does not take away God’s grace in them. But our effort to depart from evil takes effort. This effort is to do His will. Only those who do the Father’s will will enter heaven.
It’s a very bad thing. Faith comes from faith (all from our Father) handed down to you. You did not get the gospel handed to you from on a stone from the clouds. He has fashioned his Family to be one body. Do you go to a wedding in sweat pants and t-shirt? It is respectfull to dress appropriate. This does not make anyone more worthy. Baptism is through the Church that we are joined into. Who Baptises themselves?
This man uses much good to keep Children from the Eucharist. Because he never knew that Jesus does come into our Church. And this is His promise. What did Jesus do with his Church after His resurection? He broke bread. This is our duty to come together and share His meal. This man and yourself should consider what the first converts did. Read Acts 2:37-47

How come the laws banning homosexual propaganda are coming from Russian provincial and municipal governments then? If Russia’s movement towards christianity was purely state-centered, then shouldn’t all of the Church’s support be coming from the top-down? In fact, Putin himself has spoken out against some of the heavily religious laws now being passed in Russia as too extreme.
With regards to the feminist band, keep in mind that Russians have shown a similar response to Lady Gaga’s promotion of homosexual acts to minors during her concert which had nothing to do with anti-Putin remarks. It’s my opinion that the legal actions against the feminist band had less to do with anti-Putin remarks and more to do with blasphemy which apparently was also supported by Pope Benedict:

I’m not saying that I agree with everything that’s going on in Russia and I definitely agree that the Orthodox Church is way too close to the government. That said, I disagree that this is merely a state-sanctioned initiative to create a controlled church… there’s something else going on here. In either case, this is definitely not something that any 19th or 20th century liberal thinker ever would have predicted for a formerly athiest country.

Don’t forget that the enormous success of christianity during the middle ages was largely enabled by a guy named Constantine who became emperor and made christianity the state religion of the Roman Empire!
Our Lord isn’t afraid to ride in on a donkey. Coming into a culture through the state I’m sure isn’t how our Lord wants to be presented to a society, but history has shown that it is a very effective means of evangelization:

I just can’t get over the number of parallels I see between what’s happening in Russia today and how the political might of the Church was given life in Rome about 1700 years ago. If the Russian Orthodox Church ever comes into full communion with Rome… Well let’s just say that I think we could be a lot closer to our Holy Mother’s predictions then what a lot of people think…

I think that aspects of Christianity have changed and will continue to change. I seriously doubt that it will be shed all together. Ask some one from a previous generation if he or she feels Christianity is practiced differently today than it was in their generation and I’m sure you’ll get confirmation .You can also look in historical documents (such as old laws) and older literature to see a change in attitudes. But I don’t think this shifting in attitudes is the death of Christianity.
At the same time I do think there will be those that have a specific criteria that he or she consider’s to be Christian (ex: some denominations consider other denominations of Christian to not really be Christian). From that perspective if their own denomination is seeing a decline in membership then that would be a decline in Christianity according to their criteria.
